Listening is apparently an important skill to have. It’s not my strong point, but I’m sure I heard that somewhere.
Just today though, I learned that I should at least listen to myself! A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by a library-school student about working in Reference. She wrote me to tell me that one thing I said was a favorite quote in her class: “Wikipedia isn’t a terrible place to begin; it’s just a terrible place to end.”
heh. Not bad. And, true. This listening thing might have something going for it.
